IT Days 2024

The University of Vaasa together with Seinäjoki University Centre and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences warmly welcome you to the 47th joint IT Days of the universities in Seinäjoki on 13-14 November 2024.

The theme of the IT Days 2024 programme is ”Pervasive IT”. Digitalisation affects all functions in an organisation and collaborative IT solutions are becoming more and more important in higher education every day. From this starting point, the IT Days 2024 programme is structured around four main themes:

1. Practical customer service and technologies
2. The many faces of artificial intelligence
3. IT services for research and RDI activities
4. The ”big picture” of IT governance.

The IT Days will start in Seinäjoki Arena on Wednesday 13 November with a joint keynote address and then split into four parallel groups to hear presentations. The evening event will take place at the Rhythm Workshop in Seinäjoki. On Thursday 14.11., the IT Days will continue with parallel presentations and end with a joint keynote speech and the transfer of responsibility for the event to the organising university in 2025.

The IT Days are also traditionally accompanied by a pre-event, i.e. on Tuesday 12 November, several SIGs and networks of higher education institutions will meet under their own arrangements. At the IT Days evening event, the winner of the 2024 Higher Education Digiteko Award will be announced.
